TL;DR
Investor Relations Analyst (Biotech): Supporting investor communications, financial analysis, and engagement with analysts and institutional investors for a publicly traded biotech company with an accent on earnings materials, pipeline communications, valuation, and investor outreach. Focus on maintaining analyst models, tracking peer performance and stock valuation, coordinating investor events, and preparing information for executives and the board.

Location: Hybrid role based in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina office, requiring at least three days per week onsite; office requirements may increase based on business needs.

What you will do

  • Prepare and improve quarterly earnings materials, press releases, corporate presentations, FAQs, product fact sheets, and pipeline communications.
  • Maintain and improve the investor relations and pipeline websites and support social media content for investor relations activities.
  • Monitor sell-side research, industry and competitor news, peer performance, stock valuation, and consensus financial data.
  • Support investor conferences, events, non-deal roadshows, investor calls, and meetings with institutional investors and analysts.
  • Prepare background information for executives, management, board members, and other internal spokespeople.
  • Maintain the investor relations CRM and contribute to communication strategies, outreach programs, benchmarking, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or sciences.
  • At least two years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience may be waived with a master’s degree, in biotech, capital markets, investor relations, FP&A, communications, or securities analysis.
  • Working knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques used by securities analysts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, work with evolving information, and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Ability to work from the RTP, North Carolina office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in business, communications, or sciences.
  • Prior public company investor relations, sell-side, or operational experience in biotech.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Global/Ipreo, Workiva, or similar investor relations and financial intelligence platforms.
