General Manager – Substation

Location: Uniontown, Ohio, United States; full-time role with travel required and regular project-site visits.

What you will do

• Direct regional substation and BESS operations, aligning strategic initiatives with company and divisional objectives.
• Lead Regional Managers, Project Managers, and operational teams to deliver safe, efficient, profitable, and high-quality projects.
• Support project recovery, resolve operational and staffing challenges, and assume direct project management responsibilities when required.
• Build customer relationships with utilities, renewable energy, battery storage, and infrastructure clients while supporting business growth.
• Lead preconstruction efforts, RFP pursuits, bid strategies, execution plans, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Oversee workforce planning, forecasting, budgets, cash flow, backlog, cost projections, revenue, profitability, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing substation, utility, BESS, renewable energy, power delivery, or EPC construction operations.
• Experience leading regional operations, project portfolios, multidisciplinary teams, preconstruction, RFP pursuits, and estimating collaboration.
• Strong understanding of substation construction, BESS, project delivery, resource planning, risk management, and financial performance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record.

• Advanced industry certifications, licenses, or credentials.
• Familiarity with project controls, estimating, and job cost tracking software.
