Virtual Construction On-Site Field Operations Senior Associate (BIM/VDC)

Location: Houston, TX; full-time, on-site at an active HITT project

What you will do

• Lead project reality capture programs, including planning, capture methods, registration, model alignment, data quality, storage, and documentation.
• Establish installation and production tracking by area, system, trade, or work package, comparing planned work with actual conditions and communicating variances and constraints.
• Convert field data and coordinated models into installation views, lift drawings, dimensioned details, logistics views, work-package exhibits, and turnover documentation.
• Support constructability reviews, look-ahead planning, sequencing, work packaging, model-based logistics, 4D studies, QA/QC, issue resolution, and recovery planning.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for VC field-enablement workflows, train project teams, and maintain access to current models, capture data, installation status, and issue information.
• Mentor junior team members, maintain quality standards, document lessons learned, and improve repeatable field practices.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of commercial construction experience, including 2+ years of BIM/VDC or construction-technology experience.
• Direct experience working with Superintendents, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and trade partners in an active jobsite environment.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, field sequencing, work packaging, quality control, and turnover.
• Experience managing reality capture workflows and converting captured conditions into actionable project information.
• Experience developing or maintaining location-based installation or progress-tracking workflows.
• Proficiency with relevant coordination, model review, reality capture, and field collaboration platforms.
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in practical field terms.
• Ability to organize multiple data sources, maintain reliable status controls, and follow through on issues to resolution.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a project-dedicated or field-embedded VC role.
• Experience with laser scanning, mobile scanning, 360-degree documentation, photogrammetry, drones, and scan-to-model comparison.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and reality capture processing or analysis platforms.
• Experience integrating installation tracking with look-ahead planning, project controls, QA/QC, or turnover workflows.
• Experience with robotic layout, prefabrication support, 4D planning, or model-based work packaging.
• Experience supporting large-scale or technically complex projects such as data centers, healthcare, aviation, or advanced manufacturing.
