Structural Design Technician (Revit)

Location: Remote engineering team; position associated with Tempe, AZ, US

Salary: $70,700–$83,200 annually

What you will do

• Develop detailed 3D structural models and 2D deliverables from instructions, sketches, and engineering markups.
• Produce complete drawing sets or major portions of assigned structural project scopes.
• Verify design completeness and accuracy and participate in QA/QC, BIM, and coordination reviews.
• Coordinate with MEP and architectural disciplines to resolve clashes and maintain model integrity using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Execute routine design tasks independently, manage assigned deliverables, and support project teams in meeting milestones.
• Advance design automation skills and use emerging technologies and digital workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and completed formal CADD coursework.
• At least 2 years of professional drafting and design experience in structural engineering.
• At least 1 year of hands-on Revit experience building structural models.
• Proficiency in general CAD and design software.
• Reliable, high-speed home internet capable of supporting intensive remote BIM modeling and collaboration platforms.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage workload independently.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or an equivalent technical degree.
• 3+ years of dedicated Revit experience in a professional engineering environment.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing structural steel and reinforced concrete systems.
• Experience with industrial facilities, semiconductor fabrication plants, or cleanroom support structures.
