BIM Manager (Structural Engineering)

Location: Hybrid role based in Lakewood, Colorado, United States; up to 5% travel.

Base salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead structural model development and multidisciplinary federation across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil, process, and security disciplines.
• Establish and enforce BIM execution plans, modeling standards, templates, tools, workflows, and level-of-development requirements.
• Plan clash detection at progressive design milestones, assign conflicts to discipline leads, and track issues through resolution.
• Verify model content, accuracy, constructability, sequencing, access, clearances, and readiness for construction-ready or issued-for-construction deliverables.
• Manage BIM technician staffing, workloads, and production workflows across concurrent projects and design phases.
• Provide model-based visualization, client review support, technical guidance, and mentoring on BIM coordination and digital delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM management, model coordination, or a comparable digital design leadership role.
• Experience managing federated models across multiple engineering disciplines on complex commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience supporting BIM-driven design development from concept through construction-ready or issued-for-construction deliverables.
• Experience managing BIM production staff and coordinating workloads across multiple concurrent projects and design phases.
• Exceptional attention to detail, spatial awareness, and cross-disciplinary reasoning.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including translating model-based technical conflicts into actionable guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead coordination across multiple disciplines, projects, and design phases simultaneously, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with document control and model/version management systems.
