BIM Designer & Coordinator (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco or Seattle, with US remote availability; hybrid work format.

Salary: $141K–$285K base pay annually, plus equity and potentially performance-related bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain conceptual and schematic multidisciplinary BIM models for large-scale industrial and mission-critical facilities.
• Coordinate Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Structural models, including federated models for design reviews, constructability analysis, and clash detection.
• Model equipment layouts, utility corridors, electrical and mechanical rooms, structural framing, site infrastructure, architectural constraints, and major MEP pathways.
• Translate engineering sketches, equipment lists, one-line diagrams, and planning documentation into coordinated BIM deliverables.
• Support test-fit studies, routing evaluations, phasing plans, utility coordination, quantity takeoffs, asset tracking, and design progress reporting.
• Maintain BIM standards and review consultant and contractor deliverables for quality, completeness, coordination, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of BIM modeling, BIM coordination, drafting, or design technology experience.
• Experience developing 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable BIM/CAD platforms.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary coordination for complex industrial, infrastructure, or building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment layouts, design narratives, diagrams, and consultant deliverables.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, model organization, file management, and coordination workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale industrial, data center, manufacturing, utility, or other mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing conceptual and schematic design models as well as construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary MEP coordination, equipment clearances, routing zones, and constructability.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Dynamo, Python, or Autodesk Platform Services.
• Experience with model automation, asset management, data extraction, quantity takeoffs, and design reporting.
• Experience coordinating with engineering organizations, consultants, contractors, and owner representatives, plus strong cross-disciplinary communication skills.
