Estimated pay: $78,000–$124,000 per year

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is a national construction manager and general contractor providing preconstruction, construction, and contracting services across multiple commercial and institutional markets.

What you will do

  • Manage safety programs for the Midwest region and assigned construction projects.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety programs, training, toolbox talks, workshops, and safety communications.
  • Conduct project inspections, identify hazards and trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with OSHA, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and senior management to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate work-related incidents and support workers’ compensation, light-duty, and return-to-work processes.
  • Prepare regional quarterly reports on safety trends and assist with high-risk work safety plans.

Requirements

  • Two-year or bachelor’s degree in industrial safety, safety management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a construction safety role.
  • Experience with inspections and audits involving state and local government agencies.
  • Knowledge of excavation, trenching, fall protection, confined space, silica, scaffolding, rigging, and signaling.
  • Knowledge of EHS and construction regulatory standards, with strong written, oral, and listening communication skills.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification; OSHA 500 Trainer Card eligibility and ASP certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year.
