Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent (Industrial)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; onsite construction-site work

Salary: $79,200–$132,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Support project scheduling and ensure proper construction methods and installation sequences are followed.
• Coordinate project priorities with field staff and subcontractors while maintaining productive working relationships.
• Maintain daily logs, work orders, tickets, and accurate documentation of site activities and conditions.
• Manage quality standards, safety procedures, accident reporting, inspections, punch lists, and closeout through owner and architect acceptance.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities and utilities, and identify and expedite long-lead items.
• Identify construction issues early, clarify subcontractor scopes, and help prevent unnecessary change orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, and project-specific software.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, relationship-building, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Falls Church, Virginia, and support active construction-site activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
