Process Technician II (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Monitor and adjust equipment and process controls to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and reduce downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of downtime events and track operational metrics to recommend improvements.
• Lead or co-lead continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Support engineering staff with new manufacturing processes and products, and troubleshoot equipment with internal groups and external vendors.
• Mentor hourly Technicians and help develop their technical skills.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical field, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software platforms.
• Ability to work onsite in Zeeland, Michigan, stand for extended periods, and maneuver around production equipment.
• Availability to work overtime as needed and authorization to work in the United States is required; employment authorization is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Two to four years of related manufacturing support experience.
• Experience with PLCs, CAD software such as SolidWorks, and manufacturing software platforms.
• Additional schooling or technical training, leadership and motivational skills, and interdisciplinary technical experience.
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis, with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
