Maintenance Technician (PLC)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $35 per hour typical base salary

What you will do

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery, systems, PLCs, motors, and control systems.
• Configure and repair web-based electronic components.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance procedures and provide L2 technical support.
• Mentor junior technicians, delegate tasks, and deliver certification and skills training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification is preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Relevant certifications, such as CMRT or Electrical Maintenance Certification.
• Understanding of PLCs, motors, control systems, schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving, attention-to-detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
