Senior Project Manager (Healthcare Architecture)

Location: San Francisco or Folsom, California, United States. Local candidates are preferred.

Expected compensation: $156,156–$223,080 annually in San Francisco or $132,132–$188,750 annually in Folsom, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead complex healthcare projects from planning through design, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate Project Architects, multidisciplinary teams, staffing, deliverables, and project schedules.
• Facilitate design work sessions and user-group meetings with clinicians, administrators, facilities teams, clients, and representatives.
• Manage California healthcare project reviews, approvals, code compliance, and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate pull-planning schedules with contractors and trade partners using Last Planner System principles.
• Track forecasts, labor budgets, quality assurance, proposals, fees, and project delivery while strengthening client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 10 years of related experience.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Registered Architect qualification.
• Experience leading project teams and knowledge of the local and regional market.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
• Strong planning and mentoring skills and commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Experience with California healthcare projects, including OSHPD-1 and OSHPD-3.
• Interest in sustainable design and LEED.
• PMP certification.
