Sr. Electrical Design Engineering Manager

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the ability to work onsite in Elma, NY; remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 electrical, firmware, and packaging design engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering and operating groups and provide expert technical guidance.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, mentoring, and career development for direct reports.
• Assign programs and projects while managing technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Contribute to design reviews and champion continuous improvement in design and development processes.
• Execute detailed product design and analysis, including conceptual layouts, dynamic performance modeling, thermal analysis, and structural analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Firmware, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience designing, managing, or testing electronic controller units and board assemblies, preferably high-voltage motor controllers.
• 3 years of leading technical projects or initiatives and a proven record of managing engineering teams.
• Experience interfacing with customers and communicating through technical documentation and presentations.
• Working knowledge of Cadence, Teamcenter, and PSpice.
• Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY, obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance, and access U.S. export-controlled information; anticipated travel is up to 5%.
