Electrical Engineering Manager

Salary: $82,900–$134,300 per year

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, designs and builds highly customized fire and emergency vehicles, including pumpers, aerials, tankers, and rescue units.

What you will do

• Lead, plan, and coordinate Engineers, Designers, and Technicians while providing coaching and professional development.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, multiple priorities, and cost effectiveness.
• Perform and oversee complex electrical engineering design, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting for heavy-duty vehicle systems.
• Support the integration and execution of vehicle control and embedded systems development.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and present technical decisions to engineering and company leadership.
• Develop and maintain engineering methodologies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of related engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating engineering initiatives.
• Ability to conduct high-level engineering analysis, design, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Regular attendance is required for the role in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing with programming languages and controls software.
• Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN), SAE J1939, and vehicle networking.
• Electrical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and process improvement experience.
• Wire harness design expertise.
