Field Service Technician (Packaging Automation)

Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA; extensive travel within the US and occasional international travel is required.

Salary: $37.00–$50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot complex automated packaging machinery.
• Lead or oversee customer personnel during equipment installation, integration, servicing, and repair.
• Perform inspections and testing to ensure quality and operating specifications are met.
• Customize machine programs on-site to meet customer requirements.
• Provide technical telephone support, including occasional 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Train customers on machinery operation and service, provide factory-floor support, and assist with aftermarket parts needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in machinery repair.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles and strong independent troubleshooting skills.
• Technical associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, including the ability to train customer personnel.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel at least 75% and maintain eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with PLC and PC systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience with flexible packaging machinery.
