Mechanic/Electrician

Location: El Paso, Texas, United States; onsite plant work

Salary: $24.88–$27.45 per hour

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
• Apply maintenance knowledge to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste.
• Respond urgently to machine downtime events.
• Complete in-house equipment-specific maintenance training and attend external training when required.
• Follow safety and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge and practical experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Own basic tools; specialized tools and an annual tool allowance are provided.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Good communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or comparable experience repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
