Specialty Staff Pharmacist

Location: On-site at 1135 S. Sunset Ave., Suite 104, West Covina, CA 91790, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Base compensation: $65.00–$75.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services.
• Advise and guide patients with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence.
• Build relationships with local physicians and the medical community to support accurate and safe medication dispensing.
• Improve efficiency and cost savings for the health system and patients.
• Stay current with regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and specialty disease states including oncology and rheumatology.
• Provide clinical oversight and participate in committees supporting innovation in medication management.

Requirements

• Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Successful completion of the California State Board of Pharmacy examination.
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing in California.
• Up-to-date continuing education requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to talk, hear, and distinguish between colors and shapes.

Nice to have

• Experience in specialty pharmacy and/or 340B.
