Compensation: $17.10–$36.76 per hour.

Virginia Oncology Associates provides specialized cancer care and blood disorder services across Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina.

What you will do

  • Prepare medication orders by admixing chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy medications under physician supervision.
  • Calculate dosage volumes and verify order completeness, patient information, physician authorization, and insurance approval.
  • Dispose of admixture materials safely and clean the medication preparation hood according to policy.
  • Log, date, and inspect medications; complete quality assurance and inventory control documentation.
  • Enter admixture-related data into operational systems and order medications and supplies as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of pharmacy experience with IV skills preferred.
  • IV certification strongly preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician certification or State Pharmacy Board certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in person, travel between offices as needed, and handle prolonged sitting or standing and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Lynx, Epic, Pyxis, or Omnicell.
