What you will do

  • Evaluate chemotherapy and infusion treatment plans for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, interactions, allergies, laboratory results, toxicity, and monitoring requirements.
  • Verify medication orders and supervise the preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products.
  • Recommend therapy modifications and help develop pharmacist-driven protocols, drug protocols, and regimen builds.
  • Provide drug information and education on new therapies to healthcare professionals.
  • Verify specialty pharmacy medications and assist with investigational drug trial review and implementation.
  • Analyze drug shortages and inventory needs while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in Washington State, or the ability to obtain it before the start date.
  • At least two years of pharmacy practice experience or completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency.
  • Strong oncology and therapeutics knowledge, independent decision-making, and clinical judgment.
  • Ability to meet continuing education requirements and maintain pharmacist licensure in good standing.

Nice to have

  • Oncology pharmacy experience.
  • BCOP or BCPS certification.
  • PGY-2 oncology residency.
  • Experience with Epic EHR.
