Survey - Team Lead

Location: Brentwood, TN, United States; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $85,897–$167,023 per year. Typical Orlando, FL new-hire range: $90,669–$114,848 per year.

What you will do

• Lead surveying production teams by assigning work, balancing workloads, and maintaining quality and productivity.
• Oversee project delivery across scope, schedules, budgets, staffing forecasts, and technical requirements.
• Review and approve surveying documentation, specifications, calculations, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on code compliance, quality management programs, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, clients, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Lead meetings, document decisions, supervise direct reports, and coordinate site visits and field measurements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or a related field; a Professional Surveyor license is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Deltek, BlueBeam Revu, and other applicable software.
• Professional Surveyor licensure, completion of the Fundamentals of Surveying Examination, and SI certification are preferred.
• Computer skills for daily timesheet entry and Microsoft Outlook correspondence.

Nice to have

• Experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D technology.
