Senior Engineer (Structural / Business Development)

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA office

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Develop, build, and manage relationships with strategic partners and public and private-sector customers.
• Build a pipeline of structural engineering projects and maintain existing client relationships.
• Identify pursuits and position market sectors to secure new business in existing and new markets.
• Collaborate with internal market sectors on joint pursuits and cross-selling opportunities.
• Perform additional responsibilities commensurate with a senior engineering role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design.
• Professional Civil Engineer license.
• 10–15+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• Experience leading strategic business development initiatives in a structural engineering firm.
• Experience leading and managing a team of engineers.
• Experience presenting engineering-related topics to clients, boards, public officials, and other external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design.
• Professional Structural Engineering license and an established NCEES Record.
• Experience with quality-control reviews of structural drawings and specifications.
• Project management and prior construction experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
