Lead Solution Architect (GIS Utilities)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States; candidates near other hirify.global offices may also be considered. Travel of up to 25% is required.

Salary: USD 155,001.60–190,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise GIS solutions on VM-based and cloud-native platforms.
• Design scalable, resilient, adaptable, and highly available GIS environments for utility-industry projects.
• Integrate enterprise GIS with systems such as Maximo, SAP, ADMS, and other enterprise platforms.
• Deploy, configure, and administer the Esri Enterprise stack, including Portal for ArcGIS, Web Adaptor, Datastore, Hosting Server, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Lead performance testing and capacity-planning activities.
• Engage with clients through presentations, workshops, demonstrations, technical advising, and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geoinformatics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing and architecting enterprise GIS systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Esri environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based and cloud-native architectures and GIS software.
• Experience with utilities or distributed asset-based solutions, including integrations with SAP, Maximo, ADMS, or OMS.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead software developers, GIS analysts, and junior architects through design, build, testing, release, and support.
