Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States; onsite, Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM EST

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Create patient records and process new LifeVest medical orders.
  • Verify benefits, identify qualifying diagnoses, and review clinical documentation.
  • Obtain medical orders, clinical notes, testing, authorizations, and initial or recurring purchase orders from VA Medical Centers.
  • Process VA purchase-order credit cards and complete changes of benefits between payers.
  • Resolve and follow up on intake orders, fax documents, reimbursement issues, and assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate with VA facilities, hospitals, physician offices, sales representatives, Territory Managers, and internal departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of experience with insurance verification, end-to-end order processing, and account billing required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple software systems, manage competing deadlines, communicate policy information clearly, and work with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during the stated EST shift.

Nice to have

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with the Veterans Administration.
