Senior Presales, System Engineer (Networking)

Location: Remote/Teleworker, Italy

Salary: EUR 69,400–129,000 annual salary, including base salary and target-level sales compensation.

What you will do

• Drive technical sales activities for Tier 2 service provider customers in Italy.
• Analyze customer requirements and propose HPE networking products, services, and solutions.
• Lead technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, customer technology events, demonstrations, evaluations, and proofs of concept.
• Build trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partners.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFQs and prepare bills of materials for sales opportunities.
• Track industry and competitive developments and communicate new customer requirements to internal business units.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in sales or presales.
• Strong technical or presales experience with service provider networks.
• Expert knowledge of routing technologies and protocols, including MPLS and segment routing.
• Experience or knowledge in automation, cloud or data center networking, security, and network virtualization.
• Fluent English required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python, Ansible, NETCONF/YANG, JSON, or OpenConfig for network automation.
• Knowledge of service provider security and market trends.
• Knowledge of HPE products and competitor solutions.
• Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, or CCIE.
