TL;DR

Senior Presales Engineer (Communications): Leading the technical pre-sales process and designing technical architectures for the Digital Sales segment with an accent on API integration and product fit. Focus on executing Proof-of-Concepts, delivering complex technical demonstrations, and guiding customers toward optimal communication solutions.

Location: Remote (US). Not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA

What you will do

  • Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, RFPs, and design documentation.
  • Lead technical discovery to understand customer pain points and propose innovative technical architectures.
  • Build and present highly interactive and complex product demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on best practices for utilizing Twilio's APIs to solve business challenges.
  • Contribute to the internal Solutions Engineering community by creating reusable presentations and demonstration materials.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the US (excluding CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA).
  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience with complex technical products, or 6+ years of professional experience in technical support/consulting.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics to multiple audience levels through storytelling.
  • Previous software development experience or strong working knowledge of API flows.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security domains.
  • Knowledge of professional sales methodologies.
