Maintenance Repair Technician II (Facilities)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; on-site work at IAH Airport, including airport ramp and baggage conveyor areas.

What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on airport facility systems and controls.
• Execute reactive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Diagnose and repair motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other mechanical and electrical components.
• Document maintenance activities, parts usage, repairs, and equipment conditions in the CMMS.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to complete service tasks.
• Identify recurring equipment failures, recommend corrective actions, and provide technical guidance to Technician I employees.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in equipment and maintenance operations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Availability for day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work on an airport ramp around aircraft, heavy equipment, moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, fumes, chemicals, vibration, and loud noise.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Airport operations or facility maintenance experience.
• Plumbing or electrical experience with 480V, three-phase motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and common computer applications.
