Journeyman Electrician - IAH Airport (AOA) (Aerospace)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite at IAH Airport. Night-shift work with availability for varying shifts, weekends, and holidays. Duties include working on the airport ramp around aircraft and in confined baggage conveyor areas.

What you will do

• Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on building systems and airport equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools and instruments.
• Calculate electrical loads and ensure proper installation of wiring and components.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS system.
• Follow safety protocols and complete required training while collaborating with a diverse team.

Requirements

• Valid driver license and journeyman license.
• Ability to obtain a badge for work in secure airport areas.
• Availability for overnight work and varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• At least 3 years of electrical experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors, in confined spaces, at height, around heavy equipment, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency with CMMS and office software.
