TL;DR

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States; flexible schedule and up to 20% travel may be required.

What you will do

  • Train and coach team members in welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrate the safe use of welding equipment, torque tools, cranes, measuring tools, testing devices, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Teach employees to read prints, schematics, weld symbols, standard work instructions, and other technical documentation.
  • Deliver training on HVAC and pre-conditioned air systems, including mechanical, electrical, and brazing processes.
  • Facilitate Level 1 and Level 2 high-voltage safety training while coaching employees on quality, inspection, troubleshooting, and manufacturing discrepancies.
  • Identify skill gaps, develop hands-on and digital training materials using the ADDIE model, and partner with production staff, subject-matter experts, trainers, and leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five or more years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, welding, fabrication, assembly, electrical, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to explain technical processes clearly and practically.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, prints, and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and with remote leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and work a flexible schedule across multiple shifts.

Nice to have

  • Manufacturing training, mentoring, coaching, or teaching experience.
  • MIG or TIG welding experience with aluminum and steel, including pulse-spray welding.
  • Experience with vehicle assembly, HVAC, refrigeration, brazing, electrical systems, or high-voltage vehicle technology.
  • Experience developing technical training, work instructions, or hands-on learning activities.
  • CWI or EPA Section 608 certification, or willingness to obtain the relevant certification.
