Operations Technical Trainer (Manufacturing)

Location: Valencia, California, United States; on-the-floor role in a manufacturing environment.

Salary: $59,000–$98,000 annual target base pay for candidates in California and the New York metro area. The package may also include an annual performance bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, wellness benefits, and overtime pay for eligible non-exempt employees.

What you will do

• Facilitate hands-on equipment and process training for operators across the assigned department and shift, supporting other shifts as needed.
• Conduct, document, and recertify operator skill assessments, including practical tests and on-the-floor evaluations.
• Use and update SOP, Job Instruction, and Job Instruction Breakdown materials, applying the Training Within Industry Job Instruction methodology.
• Monitor production activities, verify process adherence, and provide structured coaching and retraining to close performance or knowledge gaps.
• Track training completion, proficiency, error reduction, and other effectiveness metrics.
• Partner with EHS, Quality, Operations, and Operations Excellence on GMP, GDP, safety, process rollout, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including one to two years in a training or supervisory capacity.
• Three to five years of experience conducting technical training in manufacturing.
• Experience or certification in the TWI Job Instruction methodology.
• Strong communication, collaboration, coaching, assessment, organization, and influencing skills.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, preferably in Gummies or Packaging, plus basic computer skills with Cornerstone LMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
