Manufacturing Trainer

What you will do

• Evaluate production skills, identify development needs, and deliver training tailored to individual employee skill levels.
• Train employees on manufacturing processes, machinery operation, coatings, carbon and stainless plate and pipe welding, including GMAW-P and GTAW.
• Support robotic welding programming and develop engaging fabrication-process content, presentations, and videos.
• Lead onboarding, create training schedules and templates, and roll out training initiatives across teams and facilities.
• Develop and maintain procedures, JSAs, LOTO documentation, method sheets, checklists, and cross-training materials.
• Coordinate and maintain forklift and crane certifications while supporting FEM/5S, safety training, process validation, and facility standardization.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of arc welding for carbon, stainless, and alloy metals.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints, use measuring tools, and apply shop math.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; familiarity with coatings, ASTM specifications, AWWA standards, AWS/ASME welding codes, and robotic welding programming is required for the role's scope.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid and powder coatings.
• Robotic welding programming experience.
• Knowledge of Mendix training, HDPE/cut-grooving, and uncommon manufacturing tools.
