Senior MEP Superintendent (Data Center)

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana, United States; onsite work at a large data center project, with travel to project sites and availability for long-term out-of-town assignments.

Estimated pay: $116,000–$192,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead onsite construction operations, field productivity, project schedules, budgets, quality, inspections, punch lists, and close-out activities.
• Coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, vendors, owners, design teams, and user teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and maintain project-specific safety and quality control plans, lead safety meetings, and correct hazards and deficiencies.
• Manage and develop Superintendents and other field team members through coaching, mentoring, performance goals, and staffing input.
• Support preconstruction through constructability reviews, scheduling, quantity take-offs, material selections, pricing estimates, and contract-scope coordination.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, client relationships, industry organizations, and future project procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of construction management experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 12+ years of directly related experience.
• At least 2 years of people management experience and a record of progressively responsible construction leadership.
• Strong proficiency with construction management and project software, including Prolog, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and related project management tools.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, life-cycle costing, safety initiatives, and compliance; current or attainable OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to travel to project sites, accept long-term out-of-town assignments, work in extreme climate conditions, and perform physically demanding jobsite activities, including occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, ethical, and relationship-building skills; forklift certification and a commercial driver’s license are preferred.
