Microbiology Manager (Microbiology)

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA; onsite laboratory role

Salary: USD 100,000–120,000 yearly

What you will do

• Manage the quality and daily operation of the QC Microbiology department.
• Provide technical support for client validation and verification activities, meetings, proposals, quotations, and analytical testing requests.
• Review technical data and documents and write protocols and technical reports.
• Investigate quality-related customer complaints, communicate findings, and follow investigation and CAPA procedures.
• Coordinate sample log-in, reporting, billing requests, and departmental or company-wide efficiency projects.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation while supporting teamwork across the laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology or equivalent experience or training.
• Previous analytical laboratory management experience, up to 10 years.
• Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and demonstrated expertise in one or more analytical microbiology disciplines.
• Ability to lead a department, coordinate workload, and manage laboratory operations.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data and troubleshoot assay or equipment problems to minimize downtime.
• Ability to work onsite in Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA.
