Microbiologist I

Location: Fairfield, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct microbiological analyses of raw materials, finished products, and water samples.
• Follow USP, EP, ASTM, AOAC, FDA, EPA, client, and non-routine analytical procedures.
• Prepare media and reagents and apply aseptic techniques and disinfection procedures.
• Perform quality assurance activities, including lab monitoring, media qualification, equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization.
• Document data and activities in notebooks and LIMS in accordance with cGMP requirements.
• Schedule analyses, maintain accurate records, process assignments, and keep the laboratory organized.

Requirements

• BS degree in Microbiology or a related science.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of scientific principles.
• Ability to follow laboratory SOPs and analytical standards accurately.
