Location: Lime Springs, Iowa, USA; candidates should live within a commutable distance of Des Moines, Iowa. Mid-shift schedule: 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., including evenings and weekends.

What you will do
- Assist the Business Unit Manager with scheduling, supervising, instructing, and monitoring daily microbiology operations.
- Perform microbiological testing, sample preparation, data review, reduction, interpretation, and technical validation.
- Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs for laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Enforce quality-system, regulatory, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
- Recruit, interview, supervise, evaluate, and train technical laboratory staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 5–7 years of laboratory experience, or a bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of laboratory experience.
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Experience with laboratory procedures, data analysis, computer operations, mathematics, and technical or business writing.
- Ability to organize and lead laboratory personnel and schedule workflow to support productivity and client satisfaction.
- Proficiency with eLIMS and strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
