What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment.
• Service chassis, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, drivetrains, steering, HVAC, and engines.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and perform basic tire maintenance.
• Carry out line-maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide road service and return company equipment to safe, efficient operation.
• Complete company training programs and support fleet drivers.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technician work involving gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within three months.
• Experience with or knowledge of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
• Working knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, suspension, steering, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to have

• Automotive Service Excellence certifications T1–T8.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
