Quality Specialist - On Site Mounds View, MN

Location: On site in Mounds View, Minnesota, USA; occasional domestic travel of up to 5–10% to other hirify.global sites.

What you will do

• Support the laboratory Quality Management System and compliance with ISO 17025 and other applicable standards.
• Prepare, revise, control, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms, templates, and other quality documents.
• Maintain training matrices, follow up on overdue training, and support onboarding of new technicians.
• Review quality records, compile monthly metrics, manage proficiency testing activities, and maintain control-material data.
• Coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance records, including service visits, schedules, and verification logs.
• Support non-conformance investigations, corrective actions, complaint resolution, supplier monitoring, and internal, external, and accreditation audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance or a laboratory role.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on site in Mounds View, Minnesota, USA, with occasional domestic travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO regulatory guidelines and QC/QA or GxP programs.
• Knowledge of chemistry techniques and basic statistics.
