Financial Accountant (SaaS)

What you will do

• Process and code invoices, manage the finance mailbox, resolve Accounts Payable issues, and maintain vendor records.
• Run recurring payments, reconcile corporate cards, bank accounts, credit cards, and AP subledgers.
• Prepare journal entries, including recurring entries and revenue recognition, and support month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare Dutch VAT returns covering OB, OSS, and ICP, support WKR compliance, and assist with international VAT, GST, and sales tax filings.
• Support external audits with schedules and documentation while liaising with tax advisors and external parties.
• Improve NetSuite processes and finance integrations, identifying automation opportunities including AI.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role with strong accounting fundamentals and Dutch GAAP experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite and revenue recognition.
• Solid knowledge of Dutch and EU VAT, including OB, OSS, ICP filings, and WKR.
• Degree or relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Strong attention to detail, structured organization, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.
• Strong written and spoken Dutch and English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in international B2C, SaaS, or subscription businesses.
• Experience with high-volume transactions, international VAT/GST, or consolidation.
