Finance Intern

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid. Candidates must have EU nationality or study in the Netherlands due to Dutch legislation.

What you will do

• Support the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions and payments.
• Create and maintain accurate vendor master files and review invoices for documentation and authorization.
• Record approved invoices, prepare payments, and track payment deadlines.
• Record payment-related bank transactions and reconcile the bank and accounting systems daily.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and maintain complete financial records.
• Prepare and review reconciliations and support additional finance projects as needed.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of financial accounting, including debit and credit, balance sheets, income statements, month-end close, and reporting.
• Good knowledge of VAT and financial processes and procedures.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be enrolled at a school or university for the full six-month internship duration.
• Must have EU nationality or study in the Netherlands.
