Superintedent

Location: Fargo, North Dakota, United States; travel to project sites and long-term out-of-town assignments may be required.

Estimated pay: $89,600–$172,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage on-site construction activities, field operations, productivity, project schedules, budgets, cost codes, and production reporting.
• Coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, tools, equipment, materials, inspections, and project documentation.
• Lead site safety activities, create project-specific safety plans, conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks, and correct jobsite hazards.
• Monitor construction quality, create quality control plans, manage punch lists, and oversee project close-out procedures.
• Work with the Project Manager, owner, design team, government agencies, and internal departments throughout pre-construction and project delivery.
• Support estimating, constructability reviews, proposals, marketing efforts, client relationships, and future project procurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of directly related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Experience with construction management and project management software, including Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of building plans and specifications, value engineering, life-cycle costing, construction operations, and project scheduling.
• Proven ability to drive safety initiatives and compliance; current or attainable OSHA 30 certification and compliance with company safety requirements are required.
• Ability to travel to project sites, accept long-term out-of-town assignments, and work in various, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, repetitive motion, and occasionally moving up to 100 pounds.
