Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent - Industrial

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Salary: $132,000–$181,500 per year, with performance-based bonuses and a benefits package.

What you will do

• Direct on-site project workflow in line with schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Lead site safety activities, administer the safety program, and coordinate incident reporting and investigations.
• Maintain daily activity and site-condition logs, manage punch lists, and oversee closeout through owner and architect acceptance.
• Develop project schedules with the project manager and ensure proper installation methods, sequencing, and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate subcontractors, work orders, tickets, scopes, change-order prevention, and early issue resolution.
• Organize site teams, arrange temporary facilities and utilities, expedite long-lead items, and collaborate with project and site operations teams.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices, with the ability to organize people, tools, and time under tight deadlines.
• Previous superintendent or project lead experience is preferred.
• Ability to use project-specific software, including Microsoft Office, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Project lead experience.
