Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent - Industrial

Location: Falls Church, VA; out-of-town assignment supporting an industrial campus in Hurt, VA for the duration of the project, with per diem provided.

Base salary: $144,650–$199,650 annually. Compensation may vary by city and state.

What you will do

• Direct on-site construction workflow and communicate project priorities to site staff and subcontractors.
• Lead jobsite safety, administer the safety program, support inspections, and ensure incidents are reported and investigated.
• Maintain quality standards, daily logs, site-condition records, work orders, tickets, punch lists, and closeout through owner and architect acceptance.
• Work with the project manager to develop and maintain the schedule, installation sequence, methods, and commitments.
• Organize the site team, temporary facilities, utilities, and long-lead-item expediting.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and community stakeholders while identifying and resolving issues early.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices for complex industrial facilities.
• Ability to organize people, tools, time, tasks, and priorities across a large, multi-tiered site team and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work out of town for the duration of the assignment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in business writing and verbal communication, interpret data, and relay meaningful information.
• Ability to collaborate with people from varied backgrounds and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business; additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Project lead, superintendent, or project lead experience.
• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore, Primavera P6, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 30 certification.
