Assistant Project Manager (Mission Critical or Commercial)

Location: Dallas, United States; frequent work on construction job sites and in outdoor conditions.

What you will do

• Support project management across preconstruction, procurement, contract administration, closeout, risk mitigation, and financial setup.
• Process subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, monthly pay applications, and subcontractor billings.
• Coordinate continuously with design teams, trade partners, vendors, developers, consultants, and owners.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and accurate general conditions estimates.
• Develop and update project schedules with the Superintendent using company software.
• Supervise and mentor Senior Project Engineers, Project Engineers, and Interns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant construction project or preconstruction experience.
• Experience with mission-critical or large-scale hospitality projects.
• Relevant college degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Thorough understanding of building construction, project budgets, contracts, and risk management.
• Ability to work on job sites, move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and work on uneven surfaces in outdoor weather conditions.
• Effective communication, time management, problem-solving, collaboration, authenticity, and integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Excel, Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
