Client & Design Leader (Industrial)

Location: Hybrid work based in Atlanta, Georgia, or Phoenix, Arizona, United States; four days in the office with flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays.

What you will do

• Lead project execution in alignment with budget, schedule, scope, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Manage client relationships, maintain regular client contact, and educate clients on the design process.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on staffing, responsibilities, performance feedback, and project team coordination.
• Track milestones and deliverables, prepare status reports, and facilitate meetings with clients, staff, vendors, and consultants.
• Participate in contract negotiations, manage change requests, and approve project plan modifications.
• Support business development through RFP responses and client interviews, while overseeing invoicing and accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related construction field.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the AEC industry, including at least 5 years in a client-facing role.
• Strong understanding of business management, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and customer service principles.
• Expertise in design techniques and tools for producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of building methods, materials, and systems used in construction and renovation projects.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills.
