Senior Design Project Manager (Retail)

Salary: $131,500–$210,500 annual

What you will do

• Oversee retail design projects from scoping and concept development through shop drawing review, prototyping, construction, and rollout.
• Partner with stakeholders to align requirements and priorities while balancing quality, cost, and timelines.
• Advise Real Estate and Legal teams on developer contracts, landlord responsibilities, and landlord designs.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to produce design and contract documents.
• Develop test fits and design studies to assess spatial and operational feasibility.
• Create project lifecycle tools and strategies that improve quality, repeatability, efficiency, and cost.

Requirements

• 10+ years of retail design experience and a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, contract negotiation, and construction administration.
• Fluency with design software and high-quality rendering production.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit or AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, presentation, planning, time management, budget management, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
