Senior Project Manager (Design), Transportation

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $150,000–$230,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead and deliver complex Rail + Transit design projects from early planning through final design.
• Manage project quality and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Lead engineering and design teams while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on national pursuits and expansion of the Rail + Transit practice.
• Represent hirify.global at client meetings, industry events, and professional associations.
• Develop proposals, pursuit strategies, and presentations.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience delivering Rail + Transit engineering design projects, programs, or on-call assignments.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York is strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and motivating engineering teams.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to balance technical delivery, business development, and team development responsibilities.
