Construction VDC Lead (BIM)

What you will do

• Serve as the onsite liaison between design teams, construction teams, subcontractors, delegated design partners, and field leadership.
• Ensure digital models support construction execution, constructability, field coordination, and installation requirements.
• Maintain a regular onsite presence in project construction trailers, participate in coordination meetings and field planning sessions, and observe construction progress.
• Coordinate design changes, RFIs, bulletins, and construction updates, ensuring approved changes are reflected in project models.
• Manage model continuity and quality through BIM reviews, constructability checks, clash resolution, and multi-discipline coordination.
• Coordinate delegated design scopes and support equipment access, maintenance clearances, installation sequencing, and prevention of field conflicts.

Requirements

• Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
• Advanced skills in 3D design software, 3D coordination tools, and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, industry standards, discipline codes, and specifications.
• Experience with construction means and methods, construction sequencing, installation practices, and RFI, submittal, and change management processes.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, organizational, and independent troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• 8 years of hands-on Revit modeling and coordination experience, including at least 3 years supporting active construction projects.
• Advanced Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience.
• Navisworks Manage and multi-discipline model coordination experience.
• Experience working with subcontractors, superintendents, field personnel, and delegated design teams.
• Experience with large-scale industrial, mission-critical, manufacturing, healthcare, semiconductor, or data center projects.
