Senior Maintenance Technician

Location: West Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $30.77–$49.23 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment.
• Inspect machines, identify root causes, replace defective parts, make adjustments, and test equipment performance.
• Set up and operate machining processes and repair parts, including carpentry, plumbing, and welding work.
• Respond to maintenance calls, collaborate with production, and record job and work-order information using an iPad and PC.
• Train maintenance team members, support scheduling, and provide backup for other technicians.
• Support 5S, continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives, and a safety-first workplace.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on machine maintenance experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, including HVAC and mechanical repair, with the ability to diagnose problems and identify corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following verbal and written instructions.
• Understanding of OSHA safety requirements for industrial maintenance operations.
• Ability to stand, walk, operate large equipment, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with proper equipment for heavier loads.
