Project Finance and Infrastructure - Associate (NY)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Annual base salary: $90,000–$110,000

What you will do

• Assign new ratings and conduct surveillance for complex infrastructure and energy project finance transactions.
• Forecast future performance using mathematical and financial models, analyze cash flows, and assess credit risk.
• Evaluate legal, contractual, technical, and structural aspects of projects and review credit documentation and financial statements.
• Prepare internal credit reports and submissions for rating committees.
• Share credit views with investors, attend industry conferences, and write research on the project finance market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis within a rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking, or a similar environment.
• Experience with financial, statistical, and economic analysis, financial modeling, cash-flow analysis, and project and infrastructure finance models.
• Experience writing research reports and presenting research and analysis to senior committee members.
• 1–2 years of experience with power and renewables project financings or project and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and shortcuts, to analyze large datasets.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity.
