Consultant - Corporate Finance - Transaction Advisory

Location: New York, NY; candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $90,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support buy-side and sell-side transaction diligence engagements.
• Perform quality of earnings, working capital, financial trend, cash flow, and financial statement analyses.
• Identify purchase price adjustment issues and develop transaction-structuring insights.
• Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Collaborate with transaction advisory specialists, BRG experts, other professional firms, and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to marketing, client pitches, product development, and growth of the consulting practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including three-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analysis.
• Ability to analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, project management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or similar financial research tools.

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA.
• CFA, CPA equivalent, or technical and GAAP accounting expertise.
