DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes/Terraform/AWS/Python/Jenkins

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States — hybrid. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Optimize and automate platforms and applications across development and production environments.
• Standardize deployment and build processes across teams and applications.
• Design and maintain containerized infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, registries, and AWS services.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and CloudFormation, supported by Ansible and Python scripting.
• Translate customer product specifications into functional, production-ready code and infrastructure while collaborating with Agile engineering teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline.
• 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with an emphasis on performance optimization.
• CWIP IAT Level I certification is required.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Linux, AWS, Docker, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Bash, Ruby, or Python scripting and collaboration on large, demonstrable projects.
