Lead Project Engineer (Surveillance)

What you will do

• Lead technical execution across pursuit, development, production, and post-delivery support phases.
• Partner with Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams to achieve technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Define requirements, verification plans, technical baselines, resources, and engineering execution activities.
• Support architecture development, design trade studies, system integration, testing, qualification, and production transition.
• Manage technical risks, issues, decisions, deliverables, and resource allocation in a matrixed environment.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, certification authorities, engineering leadership, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant project engineering experience, or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering development processes and product lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in project management principles, including earned value, risk, and scope management.
• Experience leading technical teams within complex engineering development programs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary organizations.
• Experience managing technical execution across multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with resource-loaded scheduling and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, and ARP4754A development environments.
• Background in surveillance, avionics, aerospace, or safety-critical product development.
• Experience with certification, qualification, production transition, and customer or supplier engagement.
