Corporates Ratings - Associate Director (MD) (Power, Energy and Renewable Finance)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Annual base salary: $100,000–$130,000

What you will do

• Lead rating processes by preparing internal credit reports for rating committees.
• Analyze cash flows and conduct sector analysis across general corporates, power, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
• Author research covering Power, Energy, and Renewable Finance.
• Help develop and evolve rating methodologies and criteria.
• Represent hirify.global in issuer and investor meetings, demonstrating industry and methodology expertise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of credit analysis experience involving Power, Energy, and Renewable Finance companies or projects.
• Experience in a rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking, or similar environment.
• Strong quantitative skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and financial statement analysis proficiency.
• Strong interest and relevant experience in ratings, fixed income research, origination, or capital markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree in finance, economics, or management, with the ability to manage time and resources in a fast-growing environment.

Nice to have

• MBA or CFA.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
